Autism Delaware's mission is to create better lives for people and families affected by autism throughout Delaware. The nonprofit organization offers a wide range of services, including parent mentoring and support, advocacy, social and recreational opportunities, clinical services and adult vocational services. The adult vocational program, connecting, preparing, and supporting adults with autism in competitive jobs in the community, was one of three programs nationally recognized for effectiveness in 2010, and in 2012, Autism Delaware was named Advocacy Group of the Year by Autism Speaks.
Autism Delaware operates two offices to serve the estimated 1,300 people with autism in Delaware as well as their families. The main office is in Newark, Delaware; a branch office in Milton provides additional support for residents of Sussex and Kent Counties.
