InterUrban ArtHouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization whose mission is to enrich the cultural and economic vibrancy of the community by creating a place where artists and creative industries can work and prosper in an affordable, sustainable and inclusive environment.
Our primary work is to develop, renovate and re-purpose a location in Downtown Historic Overland Park as a multi-use arts space. This will be a creative hub for artists, arts-based businesses, creative industries and the community at large.
This space will be home to artists, arts professionals, arts educators and community resources. Including:
Artists’ Studios: painters, visual artists, ceramics, photography, design, dance.
A permanent art gallery with curated exhibitions and workshops
Arts educators: a world-class music academy and private tuition space for visual and performing arts
A community event space available for private or civic use with rotating art exhibitions
A commercial outlet for the US Postal Service
Non-profit Arts Organizations: including the Arts and Recreation Foundation of Overland Park, Friends of Art, Johnson County Arts Council and InterUrban ArtHouse offices
Arts-based retail units that support the work of local artists
