About Us

Liz Lomax, a three dimensional illustrator in New York, is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in her field. Her unique process involves designing and sculpting characters in their environments and then digitally photographing them for illustration.

Her work has been published in Communication Arts, American Illustration, Society of Illustrators Annuals, Step-by-Step and many books on Illustration.

Liz was the Chair of the Society of Illustrators Biennial Dimensional Salon. She planned and implemented the Society’s first three dimensional, media specific exhibition. For several years Liz taught 3-D Illustration at Parsons School of Design NYC and has taught at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She has guest lectured at the Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration, SVA, Syracuse University, Loughborough University School of Art & Design UK, MTV and Golf Digest.

Liz was commissioned by CowParade to create a life-sized cow for display in Newark Airport. She sculpted “Angelicow”, later purchased at charitable auction by Ringo Starr for his permanent collection and replicated as miniature figures sold worldwide.

She graduated with honors from the Illustration Department at Parsons School of Design (BFA) and lives with her husband in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
