OJMR-Architects is a multi-disiplinary architectural design practice established in 1994 by Jay M. Reynolds. The office was moved in 1994 from New York City where Jay had previously worked with I.M. Pei and Partners. As the breadth of work coming into the office has expanded the firm has grown in its 15 year history to employ a staff of 19. The firm's work includes both international and domestic projects for both private and instutional clientele. In addition to architecture we also provide services in master planning, urban design, town planning, landscape architecture and interior design. Project types include high-rise mixed use, housing, commercial office buildings, retail, hospitality, medical facilities, schools, and private residences.
Our design approach seeks to create a richness of individual spaces by integrating the qualities of light, space, and material to form. We strive to enhance the given constraints to design projects with the primary goal of detailing spaces that create intimate connections between site, context and program. The work of OJMR Architects is built upon a solid foundation of design excellence, fiscal responsibility, and expert project management. We explore the collaborative process between budgetary analysis, architectural design, and construction delivery methods. The office works through a fluid team system under the guidance of senior managers and through the direction of Jay Reynolds who actively oversees all projects from the initial concept design through planning, construction, to completion. All projects are completed on computer using BIM (Building Information Modeling) system for documenting, explored with 3D modeling, and maintained with scheduling, and proprietary budgeting programs. OJMR Architects has cultivated highly effective relationships with consulting engineers, construction companies, and specialty vendors enabling us to provide a comprehensive design/engineering team, locally or internationally.
