Her successful work in energy conservation through behavior change, “helping schools save energy dollars” has received national attention and resulted in the publication of her book “School Cents: The Energy Behavior Management Guide”. Hundreds of schools nationwide are using her energy behavior system in an effort to save money.

In 2013, the Pierce Family created a new company called Moving Forward LLC to build, promote and license curriculum that complements energy savings and sustainability, and the mission of Pierce Energy Planning. Called “the Moving Forward Project”, it is specifically written and designed to support teachers in implementation of state standards and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) instruction.
