In September 2011, Pat and Lindy Salvi of Chicago, IL purchased 100% stake in the Schaumburg Boomers, their second minor league baseball franchise. The pair has owned 100% of the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the American Association since April 2008. The Salvi's lifelong passion for the sport of baseball shows in their dedication to the Boomers success in the Chicago area.
Our home park was created on the vision of Mayor Al Larson and built by the Village of Schaumburg and the Schaumburg Park District in 1999, and it’s our mission to give back to the village as much as has been given to us.
Our promise to you is no ticket more than $10 any game and free parking every game. So a family of four can get world-class customer service, gut-busting in-game entertainment, dynamite baseball and a safe, family-first environment all for no more than $40. And that’s without special giveaways, guest entertainers and fireworks shows – all for less than the price of four movie tickets!
The Boomers franchise strives to be an active and contributing member of the Schaumburg Community. Through participation in local events as well as outreach programs, we aim to make a positive impact on the area directly around our beautiful ballpark as well as the expanse of Chicagoland. We strive to make Boomers Baseball a fun, safe and enriching experience for fans, sponsors and members of the community.
In just the club's second season of existence, the Boomers captured both the Frontier League Championship and Organization of the Year Honors. Thanks to nearly 20% growth across the board, the Boomers are the 8th-fastest growing minor league baseball franchise in the country and are poised for another successful season in 2014!
