Scheer & Co. is a boutique residential interior design firm based in Austin, TX. With ten years of experience in the design field, Killy Scheer founded Scheer & Co. in 2013 with the belief that a home should feel both elegant and familiar – perhaps with a dash of playfulness. Killy collaborates with clients to create spaces that reflect their spirit and aesthetic.
Killy earned a bachelors degree in English from the University of Michigan prior to obtaining a masters in interior design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She refined her skills under the tutelage of such tastemakers as Jonathan Adler and Fawn Galli as well as at architecture firms including The Phillips Group and Studio CMP. A 2011 relocation led her to Cravotta Interiors in Austin, TX for three years prior to launching Scheer & Co.
In addition to her interiors practice, Killy has been a contributing writer with several design publications, including Houzz.com and is currently an interior design professor at Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State). An architectural, design and decorative arts history enthusiast, Killy participates on several committees with Preservation Austin and sits on Inherit Austin’s board of directors.
