Our Mission: Storefront Science engages children through inquiry and exploration. Utilizing wonder, discovery and the process of science, we encourage children to "explore outside your door" with concepts that promote questioning, gathering information, co-operation and critical thinking.
Our Vision: At Storefront Science we believe that science - both its content and process - should be fun, engaging and shared with children in ways that invigorate their interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and encourage problem solving and critical thinking. Research shows that hands-on/minds-on activities and encouraging inquiry empowers students to generate questions, design experiments and develop necessary science skills. The Storefront model, incorporating open exploration areas and inquiry-based classes, makes science accessible to all.
